Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about alerts, bookings and your account.
Do you offer refunds or paybacks?
No. Payments are non-refundable once an alert plan has been purchased or activated. We do not provide refunds because an appointment becomes unavailable, you do not book in time, or part of the alert period is unused. This does not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded or refunds a payment provider is required to issue.
What is SchengenVisaAlert?
An independent service that sends email alerts when monitored Schengen visa appointment availability is detected for your selected visa centres and destinations.
Does SchengenVisaAlert book appointments?
No. We send notifications. You choose and book an appointment yourself on the official booking website. We do not sell appointment slots or provide visa consultancy.
Which countries can I apply from?
The Applying from list shows countries with an enabled market and monitored appointment options. You can choose a different country from the initial suggestion, regardless of where you are visiting from.
Which destinations are monitored?
The alert form shows the destinations available for your selected visa centres and visa type. Options can change as monitoring availability changes.
How quickly are alerts sent?
Availability information is checked and processed regularly. Information timing, processing and email delivery can vary. We do not promise instant delivery or a specific response time.
Are appointments or visa approval guaranteed?
No. Appointment availability is controlled by the external provider, and visa decisions are made by the relevant authorities. An alert does not guarantee that you can book a slot.
How long does my plan last?
Your selected plan shows its duration before payment. Your account and activation email show the expiry date after payment is confirmed.
Can I change my cities and destinations?
Yes. During your active paid period, edit your coverage within your plan limits and currently monitored choices. Saving replaces your previous selection; removed choices do not return automatically.
What happens when my plan expires?
Alerts stop when paid access ends. You can buy another alert period and choose your coverage again.
Can I renew early?
Yes. Renewing while your plan is active preserves the remaining paid time and adds the new period from your current expiry. An expired plan starts a new period after payment confirmation.
Why can an appointment disappear after an alert?
Other applicants may book first, or the provider may change availability. Availability can change quickly.
Where do I book?
Use the official booking website link in an alert when one is available, or visit your provider directly. Check the provider's requirements and fees before booking.
Are you affiliated with VFS, embassies or governments?
No. SchengenVisaAlert is independent and is not affiliated with governments, embassies, consulates, VFS Global, TLScontact or BLS.
Do you offer WhatsApp alerts?
WhatsApp is not part of the initial public launch. Email alerts are the available launch channel. Any future WhatsApp service will require explicit consent.
How do I stop notifications?
Turn off Email in notification preferences or remove your current alert coverage. Removing coverage does not cancel the remaining paid period; you can choose new coverage before it expires.
How does billing work?
Each purchase pays for one alert period, with no automatic recurring charge. Lemon Squeezy hosts secure checkout. Local prices and promotions depend on your selected applying-from country. Contact support about payment issues or refund requests.
